To all the Sailaway crew,
I wanted to write you a personal note as some of you may have spotted price changes on the website. Many of the prices have gone up, some dramatically, in the last few months. I’ve been holding off a price rise as long as possible - as my own target market, I really appreciate feeling like you have got some serious bang for your buck, so I have been working hard to keep prices low.
But for the business to continue, I had to raise them. Taxes have changed in India (where the clothes are made), travelling out each year to personally meet and work with local tailors to ensure a fair wage and good working conditions takes a toll even when staying in the most no-frills accommodation and the cost of individually shooting every Special Edition dress (which are all one-offs) and uploading them one by one, not to mention hand checking them, takes time and money.

I hope that knowing your product is produced in small quantities to keep it unique and original and hand made by family tailors making a decent wage, gives a little extra weight to every pound spent with us.
I am also working on a programme of charity donations for causes nearest to our hearts: with every dress bought from that selected range, £5 will be donated to a charity focused on empowering marginalised women or caring for street dogs. We’ll keep you posted via our social media channels when these go live.
So here you have it, the new 2018 collection! I’ve kept our beach dresses as affordable as possible to ensure all budgets can enjoy a piece of Sailaway.
For our online shopper I promise to put on good sales for those who love a steal.
And for our festival pop-up shoppers prices will be a higher than last year but with offline discounts, fresh festival-only stock and traditional festival deals for multiple purchases.
Do come and say hello at one of the following festivals:
