Celebrating all the mums to be...

We appreciate that this is a tough time for everybody but we can't help thinking of the gorgeous mums-to-be out there in their 12 weeks of self isolation. What's usually one of the most exciting times has become far more challenging without the presence of friends and family.

With the weather getting warmer and lockdown still very much underway we’re offering various discounts and flash sales to allow you to treat yourself or the lovely expecting mama in your life to some comfortable yet glamorous, bump-friendly dresses and brighten up isolation.  We’ll be donating £5 of each sale to NHS Charities Together.

With the dresses being one size fits all (and they really do) it means your Sailaway isn’t just beautiful, ultra light and breathable maternity wear - but you can wear it once your bump is but a cherished memory and your bouncing baby is in your arms. We truly value slow fashion and clothing for life, which is why we strive to make our items as durable as possible, whilst still retaining that sleek Sailaway feel. Hear what these gorgeous women have to say about our dresses during pregnancy…

"My Sailaway dresses were perfect for a Spring/Summer pregnancy (and beyond). It's usually really hard to find a flattering fit with other clothing that grows with your bump, suits your individual style and still makes you feel beautiful. The silk is lightweight and feels so soft against your skin, keeping you comfortable as your body changes. I tried different ways of tying the dress to either accentuate my bump or keep the dress loose for a more relaxed look. Now my baby is 5 months, my dresses are quick to throw on and super easy for breastfeeding, whilst still feeling great. My Sailaway dresses are a firm favourite and I'm looking forward to dancing in one at a child-free festival as soon as we're allowed out! "

"I presumed being pregnant during the summer months would be easy, my first born is a January baby and I thought putting on boots and endless layers was tough. As temperatures during these summer months start to rise so does my internal oven and working out how to look stylish and stay cool while my body grows and changes can sometimes be the toughest challenge of the day. Which is why I’m so grateful for my super flowy dress by Sailaway, not only do I feel graceful when I put it on (which isn’t easily achieved these days!) but the stylish, feminine shape and smooth fabic is light and comfortable on my bump while giving me space to grow.

By far my favourite maternity summer look, there's even a jumpsuit too - if, like me, you’re running after a toddler at the same time!"

I absolutley LOVE being pregnant, it has its ying and its yang like anything but I've never felt more beautiful or powerful even at my tired moments, its an honour to be pregant and Sailaway dresses grace your body with gentle beauty and comfort.

The goddess dresses I wore (around the house, on the beach or with a tee in town)  when I was carrying Stella, made me feel as if they were embracing me and my growning body, and not just the bump - they had room to grow for my chest and bum too! The goddess dress lays on your skin, rather than trying to hide you or cinch you in, I’m not one for things that make you 'appear smaller than you are' I’d like to embrace the whole me. I am a tall, big girl which makes for a good baby mama but I found main stream clothing companies just trying to hide my body and items being sold to in that manner didn't and doesn’t sit right with me. Women's bodies are incredible and clothing should be secondary to that.

Sailaway covers where you need covering but embraces a growing and glowing body, they barely touch you so on those hot days they feel so beautiful on your skin whether you're at home or on a beach somewhere. The thing I loved the most about Sailway when I was pregnant was that I was the focus, not the clothing. Of course the dresses & jumpsuits I wore were beautiful, but I definitely felt as if I was wearing the dress rather than it wearing me. Sailaway is worth having a third for!

I couldn’t live without my Sailaway dresses. Having recently had a baby my body shape changed so much over the last couple of years but how I feel in my Sailaway dress remains the same - I ALWAYS feel like an absolute goddess.

Self confidence is something I lack when pregnant so, for me, the beauty of the dresses is that they fit your body no matter what shape or size you are. I basically lived in them when I was carrying Dusty-Moon (pictured above) and now whilst my body (very slowly) changes back to its old self. Every woman is a goddess, Sailaway just amplifies that!
